St. Petersburg has the oldest pipe on the bay. The Old Northeast, Kenwood, Roser Park, and Historic Uptown were built from the 1910s through the 1930s, and under those bungalows the sewer laterals are cast iron or clay a century old, with oaks on both sides of every brick street. Disston Heights and Pinellas Point are 1950s and 1960s slab houses with copper that has reached pinhole age; Shore Acres, Snell Isle, and Coquina Key are waterfront neighborhoods that were under Helene's surge on September 26, 2024.
